تكوين - Genesis 13 - Kejadian 13

فَصَعِدَ ابْرَامُ مِنْ مِصْرَ هُوَ وَامْرَاتُهُ وَكُلُّ مَا كَانَ لَهُ وَلُوطٌ مَعَهُ الَى الْجَنُوبِ. وَكَانَ ابْرَامُ غَنِيّا جِدّا فِي الْمَوَاشِي وَالْفِضَّةِ

وَالذَّهَبِ. وَسَارَ فِي رِحْلاتِهِ مِنَ الْجَنُوبِ الَى بَيْتِ ايلَ الَى الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي كَانَتْ خَيْمَتُهُ فِيهِ فِي الْبَدَاءَةِ بَيْنَ بَيْتِ ايلَ وَعَايَ

الَى مَكَانِ الْمَذْبَحِ الَّذِي عَمِلَهُ هُنَاكَ اوَّلا. وَدَعَا هُنَاكَ ابْرَامُ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ. وَلُوطٌ السَّائِرُ مَعَ ابْرَامَ كَانَ لَهُ ايْضا غَنَمٌ وَبَقَرٌ

وَخِيَامٌ. وَلَمْ تَحْتَمِلْهُمَا الارْضُ انْ يَسْكُنَا مَعا اذْ كَانَتْ امْلاكُهُمَا كَثِيرَةً فَلَمْ يَقْدِرَا انْ يَسْكُنَا مَعا. فَحَدَثَتْ مُخَاصَمَةٌ بَيْنَ رُعَاةِ

مَوَاشِي ابْرَامَ وَرُعَاةِ مَوَاشِي لُوطٍ. وَكَانَ الْكَنْعَانِيُّونَ وَالْفِرِزِّيُّونَ حِينَئِذٍ سَاكِنِينَ فِي الارْضِ. فَقَالَ ابْرَامُ لِلُوطٍ: «لا تَكُنْ

مُخَاصَمَةٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ رُعَاتِي وَرُعَاتِكَ لانَّنَا نَحْنُ اخَوَانِ. الَيْسَتْ كُلُّ الارْضِ امَامَكَ؟ اعْتَزِلْ عَنِّي. انْ ذَهَبْتَ شِمَالا

فَانَا يَمِينا وَانْ يَمِينا فَانَا شِمَالا». فَرَفَعَ لُوطٌ عَيْنَيْهِ وَرَاى كُلَّ دَائِرَةِ الارْدُنِّ انَّ جَمِيعَهَا سَقْيٌ قَبْلَمَا اخْرَبَ الرَّبُّ سَدُومَ

وَعَمُورَةَ كَجَنَّةِ الرَّبِّ كَارْضِ مِصْرَ. حِينَمَا تَجِيءُ الَى صُوغَرَ. فَاخْتَارَ لُوطٌ لِنَفْسِهِ كُلَّ دَائِرَةِ الارْدُنِّ وَارْتَحَلَ لُوطٌ شَرْقا.

فَاعْتَزَلَ الْوَاحِدُ عَنِ الْاخَرِ. ابْرَامُ سَكَنَ فِي ارْضِ كَنْعَانَ وَلُوطٌ سَكَنَ فِي مُدُنِ الدَّائِرَةِ وَنَقَلَ خِيَامَهُ الَى سَدُومَ. وَكَانَ اهْلُ

سَدُومَ اشْرَارا وَخُطَاةً لَدَى الرَّبِّ جِدّا. وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لابْرَامَ بَعْدَ اعْتِزَالِ لُوطٍ عَنْهُ: «ارْفَعْ عَيْنَيْكَ وَانْظُرْ مِنَ الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي

انْتَ فِيهِ شِمَالا وَجَنُوبا وَشَرْقا وَغَرْبا لانَّ جَمِيعَ الارْضِ الَّتِي انْتَ تَرَى لَكَ اعْطِيهَا وَلِنَسْلِكَ الَى الابَدِ. وَاجْعَلُ نَسْلَكَ

كَتُرَابِ الارْضِ حَتَّى اذَا اسْتَطَاعَ احَدٌ انْ يَعُدَّ تُرَابَ الارْضِ فَنَسْلُكَ ايْضا يُعَدُّ. قُمِ امْشِ فِي الارْضِ طُولَهَا وَعَرْضَهَا لانِّي

لَكَ اعْطِيهَا». فَنَقَلَ ابْرَامُ خِيَامَهُ وَاتَى وَاقَامَ عِنْدَ بَلُّوطَاتِ مَمْرَا الَّتِي فِي حَبْرُونَ وَبَنَى هُنَاكَ مَذْبَحا لِلرَّبِّ.

تكوين 13

Genesis 13

Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South.* Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, to the place of the altar which he had made there at first. And there Abram called on the name of the Lord.

Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land. So Abram said to Lot, "Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left."

And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are--northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you." Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the Lord.

Kejadian 13

1 Maka pergilah Abram dari Mesir ke Tanah Negeb dengan isterinya dan segala kepunyaannya, dan Lot pun bersama-sama dengan dia.

2 Adapun Abram sangat kaya, banyak ternak, perak dan emasnya.

3 Ia berjalan dari tempat persinggahan ke tempat persinggahan, dari Tanah Negeb sampai dekat Betel, di mana kemahnya mula-mula berdiri, antara Betel dan Ai,

4 ke tempat mezbah yang dibuatnya dahulu di sana; di situlah Abram memanggil nama TUHAN.

5 Juga Lot, yang ikut bersama-sama dengan Abram, mempunyai domba dan lembu dan kemah.

6 Tetapi negeri itu tidak cukup luas bagi mereka untuk diam bersama-sama, sebab harta milik mereka amat banyak, sehingga mereka tidak dapat diam bersama-sama.

7 Karena itu terjadilah perkelahian antara para gembala Abram dan para gembala Lot. Waktu itu orang Kanaan dan orang Feris diam di negeri itu.

8 Maka berkatalah Abram kepada Lot: ''Janganlah kiranya ada perkelahian antara aku dan engkau, dan antara para gembalaku dan para gembalamu, sebab kita ini kerabat.

9 Bukankah seluruh negeri ini terbuka untuk engkau? Baiklah pisahkan dirimu dari padaku; jika engkau ke kiri, maka aku ke kanan, jika engkau ke kanan, maka aku ke kiri.''

10 Lalu Lot melayangkan pandangnya dan dilihatnyalah, bahwa seluruh Lembah Yordan banyak airnya, seperti taman TUHAN, seperti tanah Mesir, sampai ke Zoar. -- Hal itu terjadi sebelum TUHAN memusnahkan Sodom dan Gomora. --

11 Sebab itu Lot memilih baginya seluruh Lembah Yordan itu, lalu ia berangkat ke sebelah timur dan mereka berpisah.

12 Abram menetap di tanah Kanaan, tetapi Lot menetap di kota-kota Lembah Yordan dan berkemah di dekat Sodom.

13 Adapun orang Sodom sangat jahat dan berdosa terhadap TUHAN.

14 Setelah Lot berpisah dari pada Abram, berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Abram: ''Pandanglah sekelilingmu dan lihatlah dari tempat engkau berdiri itu ke timur dan barat, utara dan selatan,

15 sebab seluruh negeri yang kaulihat itu akan Kuberikan kepadamu dan kepada keturunanmu untuk selama-lamanya.

16 Dan Aku akan menjadikan keturunanmu seperti debu tanah banyaknya, sehingga, jika seandainya ada yang dapat menghitung debu tanah, keturunanmu pun akan dapat dihitung juga.

17 Bersiaplah, jalanilah negeri itu menurut panjang dan lebarnya, sebab kepadamulah akan Kuberikan negeri itu.''

18 Sesudah itu Abram memindahkan kemahnya dan menetap di dekat pohon-pohon tarbantin di Mamre, dekat Hebron, lalu didirikannyalah mezbah di situ bagi TUHAN.

تكوين - Genesis 12 - Kejadian 12

وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لابْرَامَ: «اذْهَبْ مِنْ ارْضِكَ وَمِنْ عَشِيرَتِكَ وَمِنْ بَيْتِ ابِيكَ الَى الارْضِ الَّتِي ارِيكَ. فَاجْعَلَكَ امَّةً عَظِيمَةً

وَابَارِكَكَ وَاعَظِّمَ اسْمَكَ وَتَكُونَ بَرَكَةً. وَابَارِكُ مُبَارِكِيكَ وَلاعِنَكَ الْعَنُهُ. وَتَتَبَارَكُ فِيكَ جَمِيعُ قَبَائِلِ الارْضِ». فَذَهَبَ ابْرَامُ

كَمَا قَالَ لَهُ الرَّبُّ وَذَهَبَ مَعَهُ لُوطٌ. وَكَانَ ابْرَامُ ابْنَ خَمْسٍ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً لَمَّا خَرَجَ مِنْ حَارَانَ. فَاخَذَ ابْرَامُ سَارَايَ امْرَاتَهُ

وَلُوطا ابْنَ اخِيهِ وَكُلَّ مُقْتَنَيَاتِهِمَا الَّتِي اقْتَنَيَا وَالنُّفُوسَ الَّتِي امْتَلَكَا فِي حَارَانَ. وَخَرَجُوا لِيَذْهَبُوا الَى ارْضِ كَنْعَانَ. فَاتُوا الَى

ارْضِ كَنْعَانَ. وَاجْتَازَ ابْرَامُ فِي الارْضِ الَى مَكَانِ شَكِيمَ الَى بَلُّوطَةِ مُورَةَ. وَكَانَ الْكَنْعَانِيُّونَ حِينَئِذٍ فِي الارْضِ. وَظَهَرَ

الرَّبُّ لابْرَامَ وَقَالَ: «لِنَسْلِكَ اعْطِي هَذِهِ الارْضَ». فَبَنَى هُنَاكَ مَذْبَحا لِلرَّبِّ الَّذِي ظَهَرَ لَهُ. ثُمَّ نَقَلَ مِنْ هُنَاكَ الَى الْجَبَلِ

شَرْقِيَّ بَيْتِ ايلٍ وَنَصَبَ خَيْمَتَهُ. وَلَهُ بَيْتُ ايلَ مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَعَايُ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ. فَبَنَى هُنَاكَ مَذْبَحا لِلرَّبِّ وَدَعَا بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ.

ثُمَّ ارْتَحَلَ ابْرَامُ ارْتِحَالا مُتَوَالِيا نَحْوَ الْجَنُوبِ. وَحَدَثَ جُوعٌ فِي الارْضِ فَانْحَدَرَ ابْرَامُ الَى مِصْرَ لِيَتَغَرَّبَ هُنَاكَ لانَّ الْجُوعَ

فِي الارْضِ كَانَ شَدِيدا. وَحَدَثَ لَمَّا قَرُبَ انْ يَدْخُلَ مِصْرَ انَّهُ قَالَ لِسَارَايَ امْرَاتِهِ: «انِّي قَدْ عَلِمْتُ انَّكِ امْرَاةٌ حَسَنَةُ

الْمَنْظَرِ. فَيَكُونُ اذَا رَاكِ الْمِصْرِيُّونَ انَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ: هَذِهِ امْرَاتُهُ. فَيَقْتُلُونَنِي وَيَسْتَبْقُونَكِ. قُولِي انَّكِ اخْتِي لِيَكُونَ لِي خَيْرٌ

بِسَبَبِكِ وَتَحْيَا نَفْسِي مِنْ اجْلِكِ». فَحَدَثَ لَمَّا دَخَلَ ابْرَامُ الَى مِصْرَ انَّ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ رَاوُا الْمَرْاةَ انَّهَا حَسَنَةٌ جِدّا. وَرَاهَا

رُؤَسَاءُ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَدَحُوهَا لَدَى فِرْعَوْنَ فَاخِذَتِ الْمَرْاةُ الَى بَيْتِ فِرْعَوْنَ فَصَنَعَ الَى ابْرَامَ خَيْرا بِسَبَبِهَا وَصَارَ لَهُ غَنَمٌ وَبَقَرٌ

وَحَمِيرٌ وَعَبِيدٌ وَامَاءٌ وَاتُنٌ وَجِمَالٌ. فَضَرَبَ الرَّبُّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَبَيْتَهُ ضَرَبَاتٍ عَظِيمَةً بِسَبَبِ سَارَايَ امْرَاةِ ابْرَامَ. فَدَعَا فِرْعَوْنُ

ابْرَامَ وَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا الَّذِي صَنَعْتَ بِي؟ لِمَاذَا لَمْ تُخْبِرْنِي انَّهَا امْرَاتُكَ؟ لِمَاذَا قُلْتَ هِيَ اخْتِي حَتَّى اخَذْتُهَا لِي لِتَكُونَ

زَوْجَتِي؟ وَالْانَ هُوَذَا امْرَاتُكَ! خُذْهَا وَاذْهَبْ!». فَاوْصَى عَلَيْهِ فِرْعَوْنُ رِجَالا فَشَيَّعُوهُ وَامْرَاتَهُ وَكُلَّ مَا كَانَ لَهُ.

تكوين 12

Genesis 12

Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.

Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. And he moved from there to the mountain east of Bethel, and he pitched his tent with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; there he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord. So Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South.

Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land. And it came to pass, when he was close to entering Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, "Indeed I know that you are a woman of beautiful countenance. Therefore it will happen, when the Egyptians see you, that they will say, 'This is his wife'; and they will kill me, but they will let you live. Please say you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that I may live because of you."

So it was, when Abram came into Egypt, that the Egyptians saw the woman, that she was very beautiful. The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and commended her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken to Pharaoh's house. He treated Abram well for her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels. But the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife. And Pharaoh called Abram and said, "What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, 'She is my sister'? I might have taken her as my wife. Now therefore, here is your wife; take her and go your way." So Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away, with his wife and all that he had.

Kejadian 12

1 Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Abram: ''Pergilah dari negerimu dan dari sanak saudaramu dan dari rumah bapamu ini ke negeri yang akan Kutunjukkan kepadamu;

2 Aku akan membuat engkau menjadi bangsa yang besar, dan memberkati engkau serta membuat namamu masyhur; dan engkau akan menjadi berkat.

3 Aku akan memberkati orang-orang yang memberkati engkau, dan mengutuk orang-orang yang mengutuk engkau, dan olehmu semua kaum di muka bumi akan mendapat berkat.''

4 Lalu pergilah Abram seperti yang difirmankan TUHAN kepadanya, dan Lot pun ikut bersama-sama dengan dia; Abram berumur tujuh puluh lima tahun, ketika ia berangkat dari Haran.

5 Abram membawa Sarai, isterinya, dan Lot, anak saudaranya, dan segala harta benda yang didapat mereka dan orang-orang yang diperoleh mereka di Haran; mereka berangkat ke tanah Kanaan, lalu sampai di situ.

6 Abram berjalan melalui negeri itu sampai ke suatu tempat dekat Sikhem, yakni pohon tarbantin di More. Waktu itu orang Kanaan diam di negeri itu.

7 Ketika itu TUHAN menampakkan diri kepada Abram dan berfirman: ''Aku akan memberikan negeri ini kepada keturunanmu.'' Maka didirikannya di situ mezbah bagi TUHAN yang telah menampakkan diri kepadanya.

8 Kemudian ia pindah dari situ ke pegunungan di sebelah timur Betel. Ia memasang kemahnya dengan Betel di sebelah barat dan Ai di sebelah timur, lalu ia mendirikan di situ mezbah bagi TUHAN dan memanggil nama TUHAN.

9 Sesudah itu Abram berangkat dan makin jauh ia berjalan ke Tanah Negeb.

10 Ketika kelaparan timbul di negeri itu, pergilah Abram ke Mesir untuk tinggal di situ sebagai orang asing, sebab hebat kelaparan di negeri itu.

11 Pada waktu ia akan masuk ke Mesir, berkatalah ia kepada Sarai, isterinya: ''Memang aku tahu, bahwa engkau adalah seorang perempuan yang cantik parasnya.

12 Apabila orang Mesir melihat engkau, mereka akan berkata: Itu isterinya. Jadi mereka akan membunuh aku dan membiarkan engkau hidup.

13 Katakanlah, bahwa engkau adikku, supaya aku diperlakukan mereka dengan baik karena engkau, dan aku dibiarkan hidup oleh sebab engkau.''

14 Sesudah Abram masuk ke Mesir, orang Mesir itu melihat, bahwa perempuan itu sangat cantik,

15 dan ketika punggawa-punggawa Firaun melihat Sarai, mereka memuji-mujinya di hadapan Firaun, sehingga perempuan itu dibawa ke istananya.

16 Firaun menyambut Abram dengan baik-baik, karena ia mengingini perempuan itu, dan Abram mendapat kambing domba, lembu sapi, keledai jantan, budak laki-laki dan perempuan, keledai betina dan unta.

17 Tetapi TUHAN menimpakan tulah yang hebat kepada Firaun, demikian juga kepada seisi istananya, karena Sarai, isteri Abram itu.

18 Lalu Firaun memanggil Abram serta berkata: ''Apakah yang kauperbuat ini terhadap aku? Mengapa tidak kauberitahukan, bahwa ia isterimu?

19 Mengapa engkau katakan: dia adikku, sehingga aku mengambilnya menjadi isteriku? Sekarang, inilah isterimu, ambillah dan pergilah!''

20 Lalu Firaun memerintahkan beberapa orang untuk mengantarkan Abram pergi, bersama-sama dengan isterinya dan segala kepunyaannya.

تكوين - Genesis 11 - Kejadian 11

وَكَانَتِ الارْضُ كُلُّهَا لِسَانا وَاحِدا وَلُغَةً وَاحِدَةً. وَحَدَثَ فِي ارْتِحَالِهِمْ شَرْقا انَّهُمْ وَجَدُوا بُقْعَةً فِي ارْضِ شِنْعَارَ وَسَكَنُوا

هُنَاكَ. وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: «هَلُمَّ نَصْنَعُ لِبْنا وَنَشْوِيهِ شَيّا». فَكَانَ لَهُمُ اللِّبْنُ مَكَانَ الْحَجَرِ وَكَانَ لَهُمُ الْحُمَرُ مَكَانَ الطِّينِ.

وَقَالُوا: «هَلُمَّ نَبْنِ لانْفُسِنَا مَدِينَةً وَبُرْجا رَاسُهُ بِالسَّمَاءِ. وَنَصْنَعُ لانْفُسِنَا اسْما لِئَلَّا نَتَبَدَّدَ عَلَى وَجْهِ كُلِّ الارْضِ». فَنَزَلَ الرَّبُّ

لِيَنْظُرَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَالْبُرْجَ اللَّذَيْنِ كَانَ بَنُو ادَمَ يَبْنُونَهُمَا. وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ: «هُوَذَا شَعْبٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِسَانٌ وَاحِدٌ لِجَمِيعِهِمْ وَهَذَا ابْتِدَاؤُهُمْ

بِالْعَمَلِ. وَالْانَ لا يَمْتَنِعُ عَلَيْهِمْ كُلُّ مَا يَنْوُونَ انْ يَعْمَلُوهُ. هَلُمَّ نَنْزِلْ وَنُبَلْبِلْ هُنَاكَ لِسَانَهُمْ حَتَّى لا يَسْمَعَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِسَانَ

بَعْضٍ». فَبَدَّدَهُمُ الرَّبُّ مِنْ هُنَاكَ عَلَى وَجْهِ كُلِّ الارْضِ فَكَفُّوا عَنْ بُنْيَانِ الْمَدِينَةِ لِذَلِكَ دُعِيَ اسْمُهَا «بَابِلَ» لانَّ الرَّبَّ

هُنَاكَ بَلْبَلَ لِسَانَ كُلِّ الارْضِ. وَمِنْ هُنَاكَ بَدَّدَهُمُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى وَجْهِ كُلِّ الارْضِ. هَذِهِ مَوَالِيدُ سَامٍ: لَمَّا كَانَ سَامٌ ابْنَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ

وَلَدَ ارْفَكْشَادَ بَعْدَ الطُّوفَانِ بِسَنَتَيْنِ. وَعَاشَ سَامٌ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ ارْفَكْشَادَ خَمْسَ مِئَةِ سَنَةٍ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ ارْفَكْشَادُ

خَمْسا وَثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ شَالَحَ. وَعَاشَ ارْفَكْشَادُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ شَالَحَ ارْبَعَ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَ سِنِينَ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ شَالَحُ

ثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ عَابِرَ. وَعَاشَ شَالَحُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ عَابِرَ ارْبَعَ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثَ سِنِينَ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ عَابِرُ ارْبَعا وَثَلاثِينَ

سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ فَالَجَ. وَعَاشَ عَابِرُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ فَالَجَ ارْبَعَ مِئَةٍ وَثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ فَالَجُ ثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ رَعُوَ.

وَعَاشَ فَالَجُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ رَعُوَ مِئَتَيْنِ وَتِسْعَ سِنِينَ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ رَعُو اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ سَرُوجَ. وَعَاشَ

رَعُو بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ سَرُوجَ مِئَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعَ سِنِينَ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ سَرُوجُ ثَلاثِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ نَاحُورَ. وَعَاشَ سَرُوجُ بَعْدَ

مَا وَلَدَ نَاحُورَ مِئَتَيْ سَنَةٍ وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ نَاحُورُ تِسْعا وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ تَارَحَ. وَعَاشَ نَاحُورُ بَعْدَ مَا وَلَدَ تَارَحَ

مِئَةً وَتِسْعَ عَشَرَةَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ. وَعَاشَ تَارَحُ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَوَلَدَ ابْرَامَ وَنَاحُورَ وَهَارَانَ. وَهَذِهِ مَوَالِيدُ تَارَحَ: وَلَدَ

تَارَحُ ابْرَامَ وَنَاحُورَ وَهَارَانَ. وَوَلَدَ هَارَانُ لُوطا. وَمَاتَ هَارَانُ قَبْلَ تَارَحَ ابِيهِ فِي ارْضِ مِيلادِهِ فِي اورِ الْكِلْدَانِيِّينَ. وَاتَّخَذَ

ابْرَامُ وَنَاحُورُ لَهُمَا امْرَاتَيْنِ: اسْمُ امْرَاةِ ابْرَامَ سَارَايُ وَاسْمُ امْرَاةِ نَاحُورَ مِلْكَةُ بِنْتُ هَارَانَ ابِي مِلْكَةَ وَابِي يِسْكَةَ. وَكَانَتْ

سَارَايُ عَاقِرا لَيْسَ لَهَا وَلَدٌ. وَاخَذَ تَارَحُ ابْرَامَ ابْنَهُ وَلُوطا بْنَ هَارَانَ ابْنَ ابْنِهِ وَسَارَايَ كَنَّتَهُ امْرَاةَ ابْرَامَ ابْنِهِ فَخَرَجُوا مَعا

مِنْ اورِ الْكِلْدَانِيِّينَ لِيَذْهَبُوا الَى ارْضِ كَنْعَانَ. فَاتُوا الَى حَارَانَ وَاقَامُوا هُنَاكَ. وَكَانَتْ ايَّامُ تَارَحَ مِئَتَيْنِ وَخَمْسَ سِنِينَ.

وَمَاتَ تَارَحُ فِي حَارَانَ.

Genesis 11

Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

This is the genealogy of Shem: Shem was one hundred years old, and begot Arphaxad two years after the flood. After he begot Arphaxad, Shem lived five hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. Arphaxad lived thirty-five years, and begot Salah. After he begot Salah, Arphaxad lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters. Salah lived thirty years, and begot Eber. After he begot Eber, Salah lived four hundred and three years, and begot sons and daughters. Eber lived thirty-four years, and begot Peleg. After he begot Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. Peleg lived thirty years, and begot Reu. After he begot Reu, Peleg lived two hundred and nine years, and begot sons and daughters. Reu lived thirty-two years, and begot Serug. After he begot Serug, Reu lived two hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. Serug lived thirty years, and begot Nahor. After he begot Nahor, Serug lived two hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and begot Terah. After he begot Terah, Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years, and begot sons and daughters. Now Terah lived seventy years, and begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

This is the genealogy of Terah: Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. Haran begot Lot. And Haran died before his father Terah in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans. Then Abram and Nahor took wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and the father of Iscah. But Sarai was barren; she had no child. And Terah took his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, his son Abram's wife, and they went out with them from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan; and they came to Haran and dwelt there. So the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and Terah died in Haran.

Kejadian 11

1 Adapun seluruh bumi, satu bahasanya dan satu logatnya.

2 Maka berangkatlah mereka ke sebelah timur dan menjumpai tanah datar di tanah Sinear, lalu menetaplah mereka di sana.

3 Mereka berkata seorang kepada yang lain: ''Marilah kita membuat batu bata dan membakarnya baik-baik.'' Lalu bata itulah dipakai mereka sebagai batu dan t'er gala-gala sebagai tanah liat.

4 Juga kata mereka: ''Marilah kita dirikan bagi kita sebuah kota dengan sebuah menara yang puncaknya sampai ke langit, dan marilah kita cari nama, supaya kita jangan terserak ke seluruh bumi.''

5 Lalu turunlah TUHAN untuk melihat kota dan menara yang didirikan oleh anak-anak manusia itu,

6 dan Ia berfirman: ''Mereka ini satu bangsa dengan satu bahasa untuk semuanya. Ini barulah permulaan usaha mereka; mulai dari sekarang apa pun juga yang mereka rencanakan, tidak ada yang tidak akan dapat terlaksana.

7 Baiklah Kita turun dan mengacaubalaukan di sana bahasa mereka, sehingga mereka tidak mengerti lagi bahasa masing-masing.''

8 Demikianlah mereka diserakkan TUHAN dari situ ke seluruh bumi, dan mereka berhenti mendirikan kota itu.

9 Itulah sebabnya sampai sekarang nama kota itu disebut Babel, karena di situlah dikacaubalaukan TUHAN bahasa seluruh bumi dan dari situlah mereka diserakkan TUHAN ke seluruh bumi.

10 Inilah keturunan Sem. Setelah Sem berumur seratus tahun, ia memperanakkan Arpakhsad, dua tahun setelah air bah itu.

11 Sem masih hidup lima ratus tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Arpakhsad, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

12 Setelah Arpakhsad hidup tiga puluh lima tahun, ia memperanakkan Selah.

13 Arpakhsad masih hidup empat ratus tiga tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Selah, dan ia
memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

14 Setelah Selah hidup tiga puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Eber.

15 Selah masih hidup empat ratus tiga tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Eber, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

16 Setelah Eber hidup tiga puluh empat tahun, ia memperanakkan Peleg.

17 Eber masih hidup empat ratus tiga puluh tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Peleg, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

18 Setelah Peleg hidup tiga puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Rehu.

19 Peleg masih hidup dua ratus sembilan tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Rehu, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

20 Setelah Rehu hidup tiga puluh dua tahun, ia memperanakkan Serug.

21 Rehu masih hidup dua ratus tujuh tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Serug, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

22 Setelah Serug hidup tiga puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Nahor.

23 Serug masih hidup dua ratus tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Nahor, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

24 Setelah Nahor hidup dua puluh sembilan tahun, ia memperanakkan Terah.

25 Nahor masih hidup seratus sembilan belas tahun, setelah ia memperanakkan Terah, dan ia memperanakkan anak-anak lelaki dan perempuan.

26 Setelah Terah hidup tujuh puluh tahun, ia memperanakkan Abram, Nahor dan Haran.

27 Inilah keturunan Terah. Terah memperanakkan Abram, Nahor dan Haran, dan Haran memperanakkan Lot.

28 Ketika Terah, ayahnya, masih hidup, matilah Haran di negeri kelahirannya, di Ur-Kasdim.

29 Abram dan Nahor kedua-duanya kawin; nama isteri Abram ialah Sarai, dan nama isteri Nahor ialah Milka, anak Haran ayah Milka dan Yiska.

30 Sarai itu mandul, tidak mempunyai anak.

31 Lalu Terah membawa Abram, anaknya, serta cucunya, Lot, yaitu anak Haran, dan Sarai, menantunya, isteri Abram, anaknya; ia berangkat bersama-sama dengan mereka dari Ur-Kasdim untuk pergi ke tanah Kanaan, lalu sampailah mereka ke Haran, dan menetap di sana.

32 Umur Terah ada dua ratus lima tahun; lalu ia mati di Haran.
